Ola Österling, press spokesperson for the police, tells Sveriges Radio that an intensive investigation is underway that focuses on the analysis of image material and interrogations.
– In parallel with that, we are also receiving some answers from the technical investigation. This must be woven together into the preliminary investigation and the timeline that will hopefully lead to us being able to arrest the perpetrators, he says.
If the crime scene itself was under camera surveillance, the police do not want to answer.
According to sources for P3 Krim, the fact that the victim had no connection to crime can make the case more difficult to investigate than when murders take place within the gang environment. The police's information situation is worse.
Ola Österling does not want to say whether there are any suspects in the case.
– I will not make a summary of the state of the investigation, but I have good hope that we must arrest the perpetrators. But I always do that, he tells SR.
