Domestic. Jimmie Åkesson continues to raise the tone after the murder in Skärholmen. He suggests that Swedish citizenship should be able to be revoked for serious criminals – and that we should no longer allow ourselves to be bound by international conventions.
– Citizenship has been handed out almost as if you received it in the cornflakes package, says the SD leader.

In an interview on TV4 Nyhetsmorgon, Jimmie Åkesson says about the high-profile murder that it is fundamentally about “an immigration-related problem”.
– We have a lot of people in this country who do not belong here, he says.
The SD leader continues:
– We have to start deporting these people. We also have to start getting re-migration in place for people who do not want to be integrated into Swedish society.
Åkesson clarifies that “even Swedish citizens who commit serious crimes should be able to lose their citizenship”.
– It is also something that we are looking at now. We want to go even further than the government, because it will no longer last. A Swedish citizenship has been handed out almost as if you received it in the cornflakes package for many years. It's not really worth anything today. We need to start looking at how we can start revoking citizenship for people who commit systemic crimes in Sweden.
