Samsung will still provide the Galaxy S20 FE and Galaxy Note 20 with monthly updates for the time being. Previously, it seemed that the devices would only receive updates once every quarter, but Samsung has changed its mind.
The Samsung Galaxy S20 FE and Galaxy Note 20 were released in 2020, but still receive regular updates. However, earlier this week, Samsung moved the models from the monthly updates list to the quarterly updates list along with the Galaxy S20, S20+ and S20 Ultra. Not entirely surprising, since Samsung provides most devices released in 2019 or later with monthly updates for about four years.
However, the change is short-lived, Galaxy Club noted. Just a day later, Samsung updated the update list again, with the Galaxy S20 FE and Galaxy Note 20 (Ultra) continuing to receive monthly updates. It is expected that they will receive quarterly updates from the fifth year after publication. The Galaxy S20, S20+ and S20 Ultra now only receive quarterly updates.
