Companies are testing set-up for watching live Eredivisie matches in VR

KPN and ESPN will try out a set-up on Saturday for following a football match live in VR. At a location in Utrecht, a hundred users will receive VR glasses that are connected to a camera in a stadium.

This allows those users to watch the PSV match Follow AZ for the men live via VR, KPN and ESPN report. The parties could not immediately be reached for an explanation, but from the supplied image it appears to be a Meta Quest 3 headset. The camera is positioned above the field, the companies report. This would be the first Eredivisie match that can be followed live via VR. It is unclear what the next steps are after this test.
