Foreign. Easter Day – one of Christianity's holiest days – became “Transgender Day of Visibility” in the United States following a decision by President Joe Biden.

On Good Friday, the White House published a long proclamation from Joe Biden announcing the news.
“Today we are sending a message to all transgender people: You are loved. You are heard. You are understood. You belong here. You are the United States, and my entire administration and I are on your side,” it reads, among other things.
Biden proclaimed that March 31, 2024 – that is, Easter Sunday – would be celebrated as “transsexual visibility day”.
Politicians in the country were not slow to heed the call. In New York, Easter was celebrated by lighting up landmarks such as City Hall and the World Trade Center in the transvestite colors of pink, light blue and white. This after a decision by Governor Kathy Hochul on Easter Eve.
