NCSoft, the parent company of developer ArenaNet, has approved the development of Guild Wars 3. It is not yet known how long the development of the mmorpg will take. Guild Wars 3 has not yet been officially announced.
In a meeting with investors, chairman Park Byeong-moo said ArenaNet is working on Guild Wars 3, according to South Korean gaming news site Inven and MassivelyOP. However, it is not clear how far development has progressed, so it may still be several years before the game is released.
The last Guild Wars game released was 2012's Guild Wars 2. The game is still being released has always been supported and received a fourth expansion last year, called Secrets of the Obscure. In addition, two more expansions will be released in 2024 and 2025. Since 2022, Guild Wars 2 has also been available on Steam.
