Domestic. Together with the Liberals (L) and the left-wing bloc, Ulf Kristersson intends to push through a law that makes it possible for children to change gender. Kristersson's gender change law

  • Annika Strandhäll continues to fight against Kristersson's gender change law
  • Great internal opposition to Kristersson's law on gender reassignment

The proposal to allow gender reassignment from the age of 16 age is for some reason extremely important to the prime minister, who has almost everyone against him on the issue.

– Ulf Kristersson clarified last autumn that it is very important to him personally that this is pushed through. But 80 percent of the Riksdag group is against it, says an M source to Aftonbladet.

KD is now requesting a ban on offsetting when the Riksdag is to vote on the law, which means that M's members – who do not actually support the law – will having to get to work to vote yes to Kristersson's law.

According to Världen today, it is an attempt to pressure the Moderates, where a large majority of their own members are said to be against the law but where the party leadership demands yes votes .

The proposal has received extensive criticism from women's organizations and medical expertise in the field, but is described as a prestige project for Kristersson. Even within the Social Democrats, the members are divided and, among others, former Social Security Minister Annika Strandhäll (S) has clearly taken a stand against the proposal.

Formally, however, it is only the Sweden Democrats and the Christian Democrats who are against the new proposal on gender reassignment of children.< /p>
