Economics. The krona fell against the major currencies on Thursday and is at its lowest level for this year. This after the Riksbank's interest rate announcement yesterday, which signaled a lower interest rate in the future.

At half past two in the afternoon, one euro cost 11.53 kroner and one dollar 10 .68 kroner.
Since the turn of the year, the krona has lost approximately 40 öre against the euro and 60 öre against the dollar.
According to the Riksbank, a weakening of the krona may cause the authority to “think again” when applies to the upcoming interest rate cuts, because a falling krone fuels inflation.
