Domestic. SD leader Mattias Karlsson's Oikos think tank has released a report on “the Swedish left's anti-Semitism”. The Swedish Committee against Antisemitism, SKMA, now calls the report “unfair, misleading and propagandistic”.

The current report, which came a week ago , is written by liberal profiler Rebecca Weidmo Uvell.

It has been mocked on social media where it has been pointed out, among other things, that the entire list of sources consists of web links to, among other things, Wikipedia – not a single book or scientific article is referred to.

The report also uses links to the far-left Expo and SKMA as sources to push the thesis that the Swedish left is anti-Semitic.

Today, however, SKMA has published a serious dissection of the report (they consistently put the word “report” in quotation marks) . The text is written by five historians, among them Henrik Bachner and Heléne Lööw.

The researchers call the report “a cut-and-paste product that presents a collection of quotations and abstracts – without source references – that should show that today's anti-Semitism comes from the left and Muslims”.

The petition is described as “misleading, unsubstantiated and propagandistic, and the wider historical and political context is omitted or distorted”.

SKMA further points out that the left-wing newspaper Flamman recently reported that Oiko's own co-founder Malcom Kyeyune, who also until recently was a member of the think tank's “trust council”, described himself as “grossly anti-Semitic”.

“When this was made public, Oikos removed him from the website, but until then the matter does not seem to have bothered the 'anti-anti-Semitic' brain trust” , writes SKMA.

The researchers also write that there are hidden motives behind the SD leadership's strong craze for Israel.

“The intensive contact attempts with the Israeli government, which is dominated by hard-line nationalists and right-wing extremists, is partly about ideological friendship, but is also based on the idea that if Israeli leaders let the SD into the heat, it can be used as evidence that the party's past is irrelevant and the ever-present anti-Semitism nothing to talk about.”
