Domestic. One of the largest mosques ever built in Scandinavia is currently being built in Skärholmen south of Stockholm.

According to Samnytt, it is the taxpayers who will take a large part of the bill, SEK 13 million to be precise, when the construction is now carried out in the suburb.
However, the construction is largely unfunded and it thus remains to be seen whether the taxpayers will be forced to push for more money in the future .
That the mosque is built precisely in Skärholmen is controversial because the police are considering including the area on their national ghetto list, which already includes nearby Vårberg and Bredäng.
The mosque, which will be called Stockholm Mevlana Mosque & Education center, to be ready in the summer of 2025.
