The roleplaying game Dragon's Dogma 2 appears to have microtransactions, although developer Capcom did not indicate this in advance. The game was released on March 22 for the PlayStation 5, the Xbox Series cost. Most of those items are one-time use. For example, there is a Portcrystal, which teleports the player to another location. This costs 3 euros. Changing the appearance of a character costs 2 euros. There are also so-called Rift Crystals for sale that 'can be used to hire Pawns or buy special items'. The items can be obtained for free in the game itself.

It was not previously known that Dragon's Dogma 2 would contain microtransactions. For example, the official launch trailer that was released on Thursday makes no mention of this. Steam users react negatively to the microtransactions in their reviews of Dragon's Dogma 2. They also criticize the problems with the game's frame rate and the presence of the controversial DRM Denuvo. Furthermore, it is raining complaints on the unofficial subreddit of the game series. Capcom has not yet responded to the criticism.

Addition: Added that the items for sale can also be found in the game itself.
