Streaming service HBO Max will receive Discovery+ content in the Netherlands from June. The streaming service has announced this. It is not yet known how the company will transfer customers' accounts and which subscription they will be on.
The name will remain HBO Max, unlike in the US where the streaming service is called Max. That is because the name Max was already in use in the Netherlands and Belgium. In the Netherlands a broadcaster is called Max and in Belgium another streaming service. It is unknown whether the streaming service will be released in Belgium in June. It has been known for some time that HBO Max will come to Belgium this year, but Warner Bros. has not set a release date. Discovery not yet announced.
With the change, Discovery+ content will be included in HBO Max. Series and films from HBO, HBO Max, Warner. Bros Studios, Discovery Channel and Food Network can then be watched via the new streaming service. The streaming platforms HBO Max and Discovery+ were merged in the United States in May last year under the name Max.
