Rajmund Andrzejczak was the former head of the Polish General Staff and is described as one of Poland's most respected military men.
He made the comment in an open-hearted interview with the TV channel Polsat.
– More than 10 million people are missing. According to my estimates, the losses should amount to millions, not hundreds of thousands. The country has no resources, no one who can fight, says Andrzejczak and continues:
– The Ukrainians are losing this war.
According to Rajmund Andrzejczak, Poland must now prepare for a major war.
– We must prepare. A lot depends on us, whether it will be in two, three or five years. Our mission is to postpone the threat. There is still time, but a lot of work is required, he says.
His comments came on the heels of a German intelligence report which claims that after 2026 Russia could attack a NATO country.
