The newspaper Näringslivet has spoken to Karlskronak brewer Torbjörn Jonsson, who is now charged with breaching the public order law after organizing a youth disco.
The reason is that he failed to report this particular dance performance to the police, which is a requirement under the new legislation.
– This has gone completely crazy wrong . On the contrary, it has become more complicated after the rule change, says Torbjörn Jonsson to TN.
Now he has to report every dance night to the police and provide a comprehensive security plan.
– The old dance permit was still quite flexible . Then you paid 700 kroner for a year. Today, you have to report every occasion to the police and still have to attach a security plan, the number of security guards and other things. But it is very difficult to report when you are not sure whether you will be open or not that particular evening, says Torbjörn Jonsson.
Now he has to hire four security guards instead of the previous two for a dance night for up to 250 people.
Jonsson admits his mistake but does not believe he committed a crime.
