In the wake of the growth of the green industry in northern Sweden, there is an increased demand for young women who sell sex, according to the agency.< /p>

– When many men gather in one place, we know that the risk of buying sex increases, says investigator Sofie Kindahl to Akademikern.

Eva Norlin, social secretary in Umeå municipality, is not primarily concerned that foreign women must come to Norrland and sell sex, but it is young Norrland women who are in the risk zone.

– Rather young girls and women locally who have experience of sex for compensation. They are likely to face greater pressure when industrial investments take off, she tells Akademikern.
