Google I/O developer conference will take place on May 14 and 15

Google's I/O developer conference kicks off on May 14 this year. Details are not yet known, but the company is likely to announce many new AI products and may show new features for Android 15 and a Pixel 8a.

Google has opened registration for I/O 2024 for developers. The annual developer conference kicks off on Tuesday, May 14, with a keynote from Mount View, California. Technical sessions and events will also take place on May 15.

The theme and program of the annual developer conference have not yet been announced. Traditionally, Google always announces new features for Android, among others. There is already a Developer Preview of Android 15, but during the conference Google may announce new features and a stable beta will become available. The company may also show a new Pixel phone. That will be the Pixel 8a, but Google may also show new Pixel Watches. It is expected that a lot of attention will be paid to artificial intelligence during the conference.
