The Dutch government is creating one app for all benefits

The Dutch government has released a new Benefits app, in which data for all benefits can be managed. The intention is to make it easier to keep data up to date.

Allowance recipients can see in the new app which data their allowances are currently used to calculate, the central government writes in an announcement. If there is a change in the annual income, this can be reported safely and easily via the app. If a user turns on notifications, the Benefits Department can also alert them to changes via the app and provide support in reporting changes. This reduces the chance that someone will receive too much or too little allowance.

The app will have various other new functions in the coming months. This also makes it possible to load childcare data that childcare organizations pass on to Toeslagen. This way, benefit recipients can also view this data.
