On Thursday, a number of addresses in the Stockholm area were hit. Four people are under arrest on suspicion of preparation for terrorist crimes and serious weapons crimes.
– We have been able to establish that there are links to IS in Somalia, says Fredrik Hallström, operational manager at the Security Police, to SVT.
One of the addresses that the police raided on Thursday belongs to an Islamic association. Two of the arrested, both men in their 20s with extensive criminal records, are said to have regularly visited the premises, according to information to SVT.
– In general, we see that individuals in the violent extremist milieu engage in a form of systematic crime. It may be to finance one's own living or to finance terrorist organizations abroad. We also see certain connections to organized crime at the individual level, says Fredrik Hallström.
