Maykil Yokhanna has been sentenced to life in prison for the murder of 12-year-old Adrianna and has been singled out as a leader in the criminal so-called The May network.

He was represented by Naz Zihaoui in a previous case concerning a violent riot at the F12 nightclub in Stockholm.

Together with a female legal assistant, she had telephone contact with Maykil Yokhanna on average over four hours per day during September and October 2021. The bar association's disciplinary board states that “it appears that it was the client who completely dictated the contacts”.

While the Adrian murderer was in custody, Zihaoui is said to have also had “very extensive” contact with his girlfriend, according to the committee. Naz Zihaoui has thus “ended up in such a dependent relationship” with Yokhanna and his girlfriend that she “did not assume the free and independent position” that can be expected of a lawyer.

The Disciplinary Board states that it was difficult to Naz Zihaoui, who became a lawyer in 2021, “so soon after starting her legal practice has already committed serious violations of good legal practice”.

Naz Zihaoui intends to appeal the decision to the Supreme Court.

p>- I just think it's really sad that you completely go by the prosecutor's claims, she tells Expressen.
