Joe Bidens has come into focus in United States after he briefly claimed to have had recent meetings with long-dead world leaders Francois Mitterrand and Helmut Kohl.

On Thursday, a report was released in connection with the investigation into classified documents found at Biden's residence and office last year.

Special counsel Robert Hur describes in the report the president's mental problems, calling him “a well-meaning older man with a bad memory”.

Joe Biden raged against the report during a press conference . Among other things, he reacts strongly to the claim that he could not even remember when his son Beau died. The son died of a brain tumor in May 2015.

– How dare he? I don't need anybody… not anybody… to remind me of when he passed away, the president said.

When asked about the phrase “well-meaning older man with a bad memory,” Biden replied:

– I mean well and I'm an older man and I know what the hell I'm doing. I am the president and I got this country back on its feet. I don't need his (the special investigator's) recommendations.

A reporter from conservative Fox News then asked Biden how bad his memory is and if he can continue as president.

– My memory is so too bad I let you talk, the 81-year-old president snapped in response.
