Domestic. In 2010, the Sweden Democrats entered the Riksdag with approximately 5,000 members. According to TV4 Nyheternas' review, the number of members now stands at 35,834, which means an impressive increase of 616 percent.

– The membership development has not been as fast as it development we had in mandates and elections. There will be some growing pains as a result. But there we are now starting to catch up in terms of membership, says party secretary Mattias Bäckström Johansson to TV4.
During the same period, the Liberals have experienced a significant decline in the number of members. From 18,100 members in 2010, the party has decreased to 9,799 by the end of 2023, which represents a decrease of 46 percent.
