Lamotte mentions, among other things, when he was newly employed at Sveriges Radio and was to do a report on car fires in Swedish suburbs.
On the first day on the job, a more experienced female reporter came forward and explained how things were in the newsroom.
< p>– Just so you know, we vote red here, said the reporter and walked away, according to Lamotte.
Lamotte also tells in the interview about when he examined so-called “bötning”, where immigrant youths start small mafia gangs in the schools and extorting people.
Then Lamotte felt he should be allowed to report that the issue was an immigrant problem, by making public how many of the suspects had a foreign background. But the managers at the public service put a stop to that.
– I understood quite quickly that it was not something that was welcome to do, says Lamotte to Swebbtv.
