Domestic. Abdirahman Mohamoud, 26, is sentenced to prison and deportation for assaulting and raping a 14-year-old girl in a park in Borlänge. The Somali recently applied for extra allowances to go on holiday to the country he fled from.

In August 2023, the girl had been at a party and found herself alone in the park when Abdirahman Mohamoud appeared and raped her.
The Falu District Court writes in its judgment that it is “in practice an assault rape”.
According to Expressen, the 26-year-old was granted in 2014 permanent residence permit and refugee status. Despite this, he applied last year for an extra grant to go on a visit to his native Somalia, which he claims to have fled from. The request was rejected by the Migration Agency.
Last week, the district court sentenced Abdirahman Mohamoud for rape of children, misuse of records and civil registration offences. The later crimes were committed because he had used another person's ID card and entered an incorrect address.
The punishment was four years and six months in prison and deportation.
“The District Court can state that Abdirahman Ahmed Mohamoud has been in Sweden for a long time, but that he still has a weak connection here. He only has one brother in Sweden and he has not been able to establish himself here,” the judgment states.
