Domestic. Life imprisonment is being investigated as a penalty for repeated sexual crimes, according to Minister of Justice Gunnar Strömmer (M).

– We open to, and investigate it now also, that, for example, a perpetrator who has committed several crimes in a row when it comes to sexual crimes should be able to be sentenced to life even if the individual crime does not have a life sentence on the punishment scale, says Gunnar Strömmer to TV4 Nyheterna.

Gunnar Strömmer claims to react strongly to the case.
– I naturally think that it is extremely upsetting to take part in these testimonies and at the same time important that they come forward. It provides a very important background to the major changes that I see must take place, he tells TV4.
