The Antitrust has targeted DR Automobiles and has started a& #39;investigation for “possible illicit conduct during the promotion and sale of DR and EVO branded cars, in violation of the rules of the Consumer Code”. According to the Antitrust, the car manufacturer would incorrectly represent its cars both on the website and within the advertising campaigns. In particular, it would incorrectly represent information regarding the place of production of DR and EVO branded vehicles, omitting, in some cases, relevant information on their origin. In practice, it would be implied that the cars are produced entirely in Italy when, in reality, they are vehicles made in China.
Precisely for these reasons, the Authority The Competition and Market Guarantor has decided to launch an investigation to verify possible illegal conduct, as mentioned at the beginning.
