Stellantis and Leapmotor, close to an agreement with the Chinese brand?

At the 2023 Monaco Motor Show, Leapmotor was also present, a Chinese car manufacturer which in addition to showing its new SUV C10, expressly designed for the global market, also brought the new Leap 3.0 platform which it intends to offer to other manufacturers.

INVESTMENT IN LEAPMOTOR

Investment that would allow you to get your hands on the new Leap 3.0 platform which allows not only the creation of electric vehicles but also cars equipped with range extenders.

Stellantis' goal, according to the report, would be to exploit Leapmotor's technology to have a greater presence in the Chinese market after the failure of the joint venture with GAC. Moreover, in recent times we have seen several European car manufacturers enter into agreements with Chinese brands to exploit their technologies with the aim of launching specific models for the Chinese car market.

And while talking about Volkswagen, it seems that the German brand is in turn in negotiations with Leapmotor to exploit its platform to be used for Jetta brand models to be launched only in China.
