BYD is preparing to officially launch the new BYD Song L, an electric SUV< /strong> based on the e-platform 3.0 platform which already had unveiled at the Chengdu Auto Show. The starting price should be around 250 thousand yuan (around 33 thousand euros). Meanwhile, the Chinese car manufacturer has shared further details of its model, including new photos of the interior.
DIMENSIONS, INTERIORS AND ENGINES
BYD Song L measure4,840mm long x 1,950mm wide x 1,560mm high, with a wheelbase of 2,930mm. The SUV adopts the Chinese automaker's latest design language called Dragon Face. At the front, we can observe the slim-shaped headlights, the closed grille given the absence of the internal combustion engine and the trapezoidal air intakes in the lower part. At the rear, however, we find horizontal light clusters and a roof spoiler.
The interiors, however, present a minimalist look, with physical controls reduced to a minimum. Behind the steering wheel we find the digital instrument panel. Speaking of mechanics, the new BYD Song L will be proposed both with a single electric motor and with a dual engine and all-wheel drive. The SUV features BYD's Blade batteries with a capacity of of 71 and 87 kWh. Depending on the variants, the autonomy varies from 550 to 662 km.
