There is much anticipation for the debut of the Tesla Cybertruck, the new electric pickup from Elon Musk's company. The automaker is expected to soon announce the date of a mini event for the delivery of the first examples. In the meantime, an example with a low VIN number was put up for auction at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles.
The auction yes held on October 7th on the occasion of the 29th Petersen Automotive Museum Gala presented by Jay Leno. Apparently, the example of the Tesla Cybertrukis was sold for 400 thousand dollars(approximately 378 thousand euros). By way of curiosity, the ticket to participate in this exclusive event was 1,750 dollars, that is, 1,650 euros.
Is there? WHO DID BETTER 
The 400 thousand dollars is an extremely high figure but it is not certainly a record for such a vehicle. The first example of the new electric Hummer, for example, was sold at auction in 2021 for 2.5 million dollars (2.37 million euros). The first unit the SUV version of the electric Hummer, however, was sold at auction for 500 thousand dollars (470 thousand euros).

Having said that, it seems that the Cybertruck up for auction did not necessarily have VIN 001 given that there is talk of a “low chassis number”. It is possible that the number one specimen will be reserved by Tesla as already happened in the past for other models.
In the meantime, the American car manufacturer is finishing the testsof the electric pickup. The final specifications of the Cybertruck have not yet been released. At the time of its presentation, in 2019, Tesla made it known that the top version would be characterized by the presence of 3 electric motors capable of allowing acceleration from 0 to 60 miles per hour (96 km/h) in just 2.9 seconds. Some time later, in 2021, Elon Musk announced plans for a version of the Cybertruck equipped with 4 electric motors. Furthermore, it seems that there is also a Performance version of the Cybertruck planned.

There is less and less time left for deliveries to begin and therefore before long Tesla should finally share all the details of the electric pickup.
