WAE Technologies (formerly known as Williams Advanced Engineering) has unveiled at the "CENEX Low Carbon Vehicle Show" the new EVRh platform to be able to build high performance cars equipped with Fuel Cell technology. This announcement comes exactly one year after the presentation of the EVR platform designed, instead, for 100% electric hypercars.
The new platform is designed to be used on the market. already ready to be used by companies that intend to build sports cars equipped with Fuel Cell technology.
THE NEW PLATFORM
The new platform builds on last year's EVR which is the new platform. been modified to support Fuel Cell technology. Thanks to the flexibility; of the new platform, customers will be able to build both a track car, where the weight/power ratio is; very important and both models for use on the road.
As regards the technical characteristics of the new EVRh, WAE Technologies provided the first details. The fuel cell system and liquid-cooled battery have been placed centrally to optimize the center of gravity. He even estimates that a sports car developed on his new architecture could complete a lap at the Nurburgring in less than 7 minutes and 20 seconds. The hydrogen tanks have been positioned on the platform in such a way that they can offer optimum weight distribution. According to WAE Technologies, the cars will be able to have a range of up to 600 km. For the moment, the company has not mentioned the names of manufacturers interested in using the new platform.
