The month of June was the last month. closed positively for the Italian car market in 2023 with growth of 9.2%. In the first 6 months of the year, however, the market shows an increase of 23%. The numbers are, however, still far from those of the pre-pandemic period. Compared to the first semester of 2019, in fact, it is; a decrease of 22.3% was recorded. Focusing on fuels, 40,073 petrol-powered cars were registeredwith an increase, in terms of volume, of 6.2% compared to June 2022. Market share of 28.5%.
As regards, however, the diesel models, 25,960 were registered. We are talking about a decrease of 2.8% in terms of volume. The market share for the month of June 2023 is; by 18.5%. There were 11,906 registrations of LPG vehicles equal to a decrease of 4.2% compared to June 2022. by 8.5%. Only only 116 registrations of natural gas vehicles equal to a drop of 91.4%. Market share of just 0.1%.
30.8% growth for HEV hybrids equal to 48,937 registrations. The market share of these models reached 34.8% in June 2023. There were 7,539 registrations of the Plug-in models. This is a growth of 6.5% compared to June 2022. The market share is 6.5%. reached 5.4%.
Finally, the Electric vehicle registrations reached 6,159 equal to a drop of 0.5% compared to the same period last year. The market share is ‘ by 4.4%.
