The Ferrari 296 GT3 will be on display. at the start of the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps which will take place in on the weekend of July 2nd. It is one of the most important races of the GT World Challenge Europe – Endurance Cup. The race will see four 296 GT3s at the start and also a 488 GT3 Evo 2020, with the participation of eight official Maranello drivers including Antonio Fuoco and Nicklas Nielsen, returning from the 24 Hours of Le Mans which ended with victory, the Hyperpole and the best race time for the 499P Hypercars. Lilou Wadoux was also at the start, winner of the third round of the FIA WEC 2023 on the same track in LMGTE Am.
PRO CLASS
In the premier categoryof the GT World Challenge Europe – Endurance Cup are two Ferrari 296 GT3 entered, both of the AF Corse team – Francorchamps Motors. On car number 71 Daniel Serra, Davide Rigon and Antonio Fuoco arrive at the starting line after obtaining a fifth place in the 1000 Kilometers of Paul Ricard which took place on the first weekend of June. The second Ferrari is also in red livery with yellow details – number 51 – line-up of the Belgian team on which Alessio Rovera, Robert Shwartzman and Nicklas Nielsen, seventh in France, will try to score points with a high specific weight for the title race.
In the Bronze category the AF Corse team returns to the Belgian track with two cars. The 296 GT3 number 50 will take turns Simon Mann, the Belgian Ulysse de Pauw – last year's Silver Cup champion in the Sprint series of the GT WC Europe –, Nicolas Varrone and Julien Piguet; while on the 488 GT3 Evo 2020 number 52 Andrea Bertolini and his teammates Louis and Jef Machiels, who took the second step of the podium at Le Castellet, are joined by Lilou Wadoux.
In the Pro-Am class The ST Racing with Rinaldi team entrusts Isaac Tutumlu, Samantha Tan, Jon Miller and Leonard Weiss with the 296 GT3 number 38, fresh from the podium obtained at Paul Ricard.
