Jaguar presents the ZP Collection to celebrate the victories of the E-Type

Jaguar pays tribute to the E-Type's first sporting victories with the ZP Collection. This is an exclusive collection of seven pairs of restored E-Types inspired by the victorious 1961 cars driven by Graham Hill and Roy Salvadori. Therefore, the British car manufacturer intends to celebrate the first racing E-Types, which were produced with the project code “ZP”.

A TRIBUTE TO THE PAST

Entering more quickly; in the details of this project, Jaguar announces that each pair of E-Type ZP Collection vehicles comprises a roadster and a coupé Fixed Head, finished in liveries inspired by the victorious original cars, which have been fully restored by the experts at Jaguar Classic Works in Coventry.

The roadster is; inspired by the original "ECD 400" Driven by Graham Hill and features an Oulton Blue color and contrasting red leather interior. It also features a black soft top and a series of exterior details that recall the victorious race car driven by Hill. The round inserts on the bonnet and doors are finished in white, as well as the colour. like the outline inside the front grille. The logo bar that runs across the grille and front overriders is a distinctive feature. been removed, in keeping with the original racing version. The front and rear bumpers are chromed, while the spoked wheels and wheel hubs feature the Jaguar Heritage logo.

From a technical point of view, the cars are based on the specifications of the E-Type Series 13.8 produced between 1961 and 1964. So, under the bonnet we will find a engine 6-cylinder 3.8-litre engine capable of delivering 265 HP combined with a 5-speed manual gearbox. However, there will also be a pinch of modernity; starting with the Jaguar Classic infotainment system with DAB radio, Bluetooth and navigator.

Prices have not been specified but these cars are expressly dedicated to collectors. The English brand says that interested parties will be able to make their requests directly to Jaguar Classic.
