On the occasion of the opening of the exhibition ''75 Years of Porsche Sports Cars” at the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen, Porsche officially presented the Mission X concept car. It is an electric hypercar that reveals Porsche's idea for the battery-powered sports cars of the future.

Oliver Blume, CEO of Porsche, describes this concept car as “a technological beacon for the sports car of the future”. A car that looks to the future, taking on the legacy of of the previous sports cars of the German brand such as the 959, the Carrera GT and the 918 Spyder. As regards the technical specifications of this concept car, Porsche unfortunately did not want to say much. Porsche Mission X is born in order to hypothetically be able to beat the record for road cars at the Nürburgring. While exact numbers have not been provided, the car may still have been tested. count on a power-to-weight ratio of about 1 kg/hp. The automaker also adds that the car has a higher downforce than the Porsche GT3 RS. Therefore, we are talking about a load of over 860 kg.

The concept uses a platform equipped with 900 V architecture which allows at very high power. Porsche speaks of powers superior to those that can be achieved with a Taycan. The battery pack is been placed behind the seats to replicate the driving experience of sports cars equipped with a central engine.
