Skoda prepares production of new Kodiaq in Kvasiny

Among the new models that Skoda will bring; debuting in 2023 there is; the second generation of the Kodiaq which will be; unveiled in autumn. Of this model, the car manufacturer already has; shared some details. Now, to keep attention on its future debut, Skoda has provided some further small information.

Skoda has begun preparing the production of the new Kodiaq, which will continue in production. to be built in Kvasiny, Czech Republic. The brand will invest in 12 million eurosto upgrade the production line to make the new SUV within this plant. Currently the first forklifts are already; under construction, while the actual series production will begin; during 2024.

The brand makes it known that the investments “involve the integration of existing technologies, such as manipulators, frame assembly systems and conveyor belts and the updating of robots along the production chain”. Once fully operational, up to 410 second generation Skoda Kodiaqs will be able to roll off the assembly line every day.

The new SUV will continue on the market. to be based on the Volkswagen Group’s MQB platform and will grow in the future. slightly sized to improve the space inside the already existing passenger compartment. today it can accommodate up to 7 passengers. As for the engines, Skoda has announced that Plug-in and Mild Hybrid versions will be available which will complement the traditional petrol and diesel engines.


In stylistic terms, from what one understands; seen from the teasers and spy photos, there will be several new features, starting with a completely renewed front end. An important technological upgrade is also expected in terms of interiors with new digital instrumentation and a latest generation infotainment system.
