The Sweden Democrats harshly criticized Peter Fredriksson a year ago after it has emerged that a question on the national exams connected SD with 1930s Germany.
Today the government announces that the director general may leave his post.

– I have no idea if the Sweden Democrats are behind this, says Fredriksson to Dagens Nyheter.
Schools Minister Lotta Edholm states however that SD were not involved in the decision.
On social media, however, the party presents the decision as part of the “major cleaning” in Swedish authorities:
Skolverket's director general Peter Fredriksson will be replaced at the turn of the year.

SD has previously made it clear that it considers itself to have the right to be involved in deciding the future of managers at authorities covered by the Tidö Agreement.
Previously, the government has decided to separate the Migration Agency's Director General Mikael Ribbenvik, the Energy Agency's Director General Tomas Kåberger and Sida's Director General Carin Jämtin from their duties.
