Domestic. Charges were brought today at the Lund district court against a 39-year-old Swedish man for the murder of a child in Eslöv last December.

The man has been in custody since the beginning of December.
He is now charged with the murder of his 19-month-old son, in second hand for extremely serious assault and grossly causing the death of another.
– I claim that the man killed the son by forcefully pushing his head backwards/downwards. This must have happened on the morning of December 9, 2022 in the man's apartment in central Eslöv, says district prosecutor Josefin Sävlund.
The man is also charged with having previously, sometime between December 5 and 8, 2022, abused the son through to take a firm hold of his cheeks so that he was caused pain and bruises.
