On Wednesday March 22 between 12:30 and 1:05 p.m., the owner of an antique shop at Kåkbrinken 5 was robbed in Gamla stan in central Stockholm.

An unknown perpetrator wrestled the owner down and tied his hands and feet. The perpetrator then grabbed goods from safes, among other things.

The day before, the same man was inside the store and reconnoitred. The man spoke broken English, according to the police.

Now the police are releasing images to get the public's help in determining the identity of the perpetrator.

On social media, users are commenting that the man in the photos is strikingly similar to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
