Donald Trump wrote in a post on his social media platform Truth Social last week that he will be arrested today, Tuesday.

“Protest and take back our country,” he wrote.

The presidential candidate is being investigated for a bribe to porn actress Stormy Daniels, who allegedly received $130,000 in 2016 to keep quiet about a sexual relationship with Trump. The money is said to have been smuggled to Daniels via Trump's then-lawyer Michael Cohen, who is now testifying against the ex-president.

According to sources for Fox News, however, it is unlikely that Donald Trump will be arrested today. Among other things, another witness will be heard on Wednesday.

The police are concerned about security, and if the former president comes to Manhattan, a large police presence will be on site and the area will be closed off. Trump has called on his supporters to protest a possible impeachment. Among other things, they have discussed closing streets and installing lights with generators, according to a source for Fox News.

According to information to Politico, the prosecutor, the New York police and the Secret Service had a meeting on Monday to discuss a possible arrest.

– We will discuss how to bring Trump in, but so far no decisions have been made, says the source.
