This is despite the fact that Schultz had previously shared the Nähtasgranskaren's collection for the prosecution and also criticized Lamotte.

Joakim Lamotte was sentenced last year in the Gothenburg District Court for defamation against Tomas Åberg, even though Lamotte's attention-grabbing report about Åberg's animal cruelty was completely true.
The verdict was appealed by both parties, and the Court of Appeal has now announced that it intends to try the case.
Now it appears that the Court of Appeal intends to let the Twitter profile and law professor Mårten Schultz, 49, participate in deciding the case.
“The idea is that Mårten Schultz is called in as an adjunct member, which means he gets a role as a temporary judge,” writes Joakim Lamotte on Facebook.
Mårten Schultz is best known from Twitter, but also from Robert Achberg's hanging and humiliation program “The troll hunters”.
According to Lamotte, the 49-year-old tweeter has made disparaging statements about him several times. In addition, Schultz has previously shared a link from Tomas Åberg that aimed to collect money to prosecute Lamotte.
Joakim Lamotte's attorney has stated in a filing that Schultz is a badass and that he should not be allowed to participate and judge in the case.
“It is also extremely remarkable that Mårten Schultz himself, when asked by the Court of Appeal, did not consider himself competent to judge in the case,” states the attorney.
