Dagens Juridik previously reported that Lundh was the only applicant for the position. In that case, Lundh would leave his role as public prosecutor during a chaotic time with both gang wars in Stockholm and prevailing chaos at the sister agency the police.

The judicial committee now confirms that the issue will be taken up at the meeting on March 15.

Lundh took office as attorney general and head of the Public Prosecutor's Office in September 2018 and has previously held roles as vice chairman of the Court of Appeal, chief councilor at the Stockholm district court and legal counsel at the Södertörn district court.

If Lundh is appointed president of Svea Court of Appeal, like her representative Anders Perklev, she will have gone from the post of Attorney General to president of Svea Court of Appeal. Perklev was recently appointed by the government as a justice in the Supreme Court.
