Mujjo Canopy is the first AirTag holder from the Dutch brand Mujjo. Made of genuine leather in three neutral colors. What do we think of this AirTag pendant? You can read it in our Mujjo Canopy mini-review!
Many AirTag holders have already appeared, for your bag or bunch of keys. Mujjo is now releasing an AirTag holder under the name Canopy for the first time. Made of 3D-shaped leather and with a more luxurious look than most existing AirTag holders. Is it a handy AirTag keychain? We 'tested it!

Design Mujjo Canopy
In terms of design, the Mujjo Canopy is very different from the average AirTag keychain. Usually they offer a protective edge all around, so that the AirTag itself is hardly protected. The same goes for Apple's own pendants, where the AirTag is clearly visible (and can get scratched).
Mujjo has opted for a holder that is all the way around, so that you no longer see the AirTag. It looks a bit like the previously released Nomad keychain (€39,-). At Mujjo you pay a lot less (€24,-) and the display is also a bit tighter and more minimalist.
The holder is 3D-shaped and actually consists of a double piece of leather. The Mujjo logo is embossed on one side, the other side is completely smooth. What is also striking are the stitching on both sides. Attention has also been paid to the details. For example, the black key ring (with Mujjo print) has a PVD finish, so that it stays beautiful longer.

In terms of appearance, we think the Mujjo Canopy is a very nice solution and also when we asked others which AirTag pendant is the most attractive appearance, the AirTag turned out to be popular. Especially the color Monaco Blue is very nice (if you like blue).
Mujjo Canopy in use
If you follow our Instagram account, you may have seen in a Story that we had quite a bit of trouble getting the Mujjo Canopy up and running. The AirTag just didn't fit. There turned out to be a piece of cardboard at the bottom of the holder to keep it in shape. Fortunately, after removing this piece of cardboard, it turned out to be very easy to insert and remove the AirTag. It is best to unfold the holder a bit and hold it upside down. You can then remove the AirTag with minimal effort. You don't have to remove the metal key ring for this and you don't have to worry that the AirTag can just fall out. Through the opening at the top you can still hear the AirTag when you play a sound.
Mujjo promises that there is an internal magnet that keeps the AirTag in place. However, we have not noticed this: as soon as you hold the holder upside down, the AirTag already falls down. We also couldn't find any hardening where the magnet should be, and when we hold the mount against a magnet or piece of metal, there's no noticeable attraction either. No idea, but as far as we are concerned, the magnet is not necessary at all. The promise “Magnet keeps AirTag securely in place” is in any case not fulfilled.
Nevertheless, we are still enthusiastic about this AirTag holder. It looks elegant and the fact that the AirTag is not visible is also positive. Our AirTags in Apple's holders have already become quite scratched over time and we actually don't think everyone needs to see that there is an AirTag hanging on your bag. The colors blue, black and light brown are not really exciting, but they do appeal to a broad target group and fit nicely with the other products that Mujjo already releases.

Conclusion Mujjo Canopy AirTag holder
The Mujjo Canopy AirTag holder looks nice and minimalistic, in colors that match the other leather products that Mujjo already releases. This pendant is made of high-quality materials but is still very affordable, especially if you compare it with the pendants from Apple and well-known accessory brands. What also appeals to us is that the Mujjo Canopy protects your AirTag on all sides and that it is less noticeable that a tracker is attached to your bag. I replaced the blue Apple pendant I normally use (see photos) with this one from Mujjo, because ‘it just looks nicer.
