Domestic. Erik Sjöbring, 49, was brutally beaten in front of his children after the 11-year-old daughter was sexually assaulted at Högevallsbadet in Lund. Now he rages against the low punishments for the perpetrators.
– It is a mockery of me and my children, says the father to Nyheter Idag.

Erik Sjöbring was attacked by the two men when he and his family were on their way from Högevallsbadet.

They kicked him in the head while he was lying down, while his underage sons desperately tried to defend him.

p>The reason for the beating was that Sjöbring had reported to the police that an immigrant gang sexually assaulted his 11-year-old daughter at the bathhouse by trying to pull off her bikini bottoms. One of the reported boys was the brother of one of the now convicted men.

The convicts, who are 24 and 25 years old respectively, were sentenced on Wednesday to one year and nine months in prison for aggravated assault.

– I think it's terrible that it will only be a year and nine months, it's nothing. It would have been at least four years, says Erik Sjöbring to Nyheter Idag.

He further notes that in Sweden we have “far too lenient punishments”, especially for serious crime, and that changes to the law are required.
