Brocken 4 and Brocken 4 Max: Alpenföhn presents its new high-end air coolers

Alpenföhn has introduced two new CPU coolers. Compared to its predecessor, the Brocken 3, the Brocken 4 offers more heat pipes and more compact dimensions, whereas the Brocken 4 Max is a double tower cooler.

Identical cooling performance with a smaller design

The new Alpenföhn Brocken 4 with its dimensions of 127 × 155 × 119 mm (W × H × D) is smaller than its predecessor Brocken 3 with 146 × 165 × 125 mm. Thanks to its new design with “air flow-optimized fins” and six instead of five 6 mm heat pipes, the manufacturer still promises the same cooling performance: The Brocken 4 is said to be able to dissipate up to 220 watts of waste heat. The scope of delivery includes the newly developed “Jetstream” fan and mounting brackets for a second fan. The cooler has an asymmetrical design and should be compatible with “almost all” RAM units.

New twin tower cooler for 250 watts of waste heat

The new Alpenföhn Brocken 4 Max promises even better cooling performance thanks to its double-tower construction, also six 6 mm heat pipes and two “Jetstream” fans and is said to be able to dissipate 250 watts. Mounting brackets for an additional fan are also included in the scope of delivery. As with the smaller model, Alpenföhn speaks of a RAM compatibility of “almost 100 percent” due to the asymmetrical structure.
