Foreign. The Russian soldier Andrej Medvedev, who sought asylum in Norway, was arrested on Wednesday night after he participated in a fight outside a pub in Oslo, Norwegian TV2 reports.

Medvedev sought asylum in Norway and said he was ready to testify against Wagner group leader Yevgeny Prigozhin, also known as “Putin's chef”.
But after a bar fight this week, he ended up in custody in Oslo, and there he is said to have resisted and fired at least one of the staff. He is therefore also suspected of violence against an official.
According to Medvedev's lawyer, Brynjulf Risnes, he denies any crime.
– He says that there was a misunderstanding in town after consumed alcohol, and has declared that he did not understand what happened when the police arrived at the scene, he tells TV2.
Medvedev was released later on Wednesday.
