Domestic. In the event of a military attack on Gotland, the island is still without both anti-aircraft and artillery. This appears in a longer report that Sveriges Radio's program Kaliber has done about the island's military conditions.

The rearmament of Gotland has been ongoing since Russia's war in Georgia in 2008 , but still results are scarce.
The air defense is to come from Halmstad and the artillery is to come from Boden. And the tanks that are on the island lack personnel to a large extent, so in order for someone to be able to drive them, you may also need reinforcements from the mainland.
– Now we have what we have and we solve our task with it we have. Then you can always wish for more, says Gustaf af Petersens, company commander at battle group Gotland, to Sveriges Radio.
According to the military academic Wilhelm Agrell, who speaks in the report, it is intended that other countries should be able to “use Gotland” in the event of a war between NATO and Russia. Which reinforcements Sweden can send from the mainland is therefore not that important.
– There is not much on the mainland. So that for endurance on Gotland, Gotland as well as Sweden will be dependent on help from NATO countries and other EU countries, he says.
