” I remember when I was an instructor for a new police aspirant. I showed him around the historic police station on Kungsholmen. We passed the regional police chief's office. The door was open. Mats Löfving saw us and greeted us. He took his time and welcomed the aspirant. Mats had a blue heart .”
So wrote Fredrik Kärrholm, member of parliament for the Moderates with a background as a police officer and criminologist, in a post on Twitter after the announcement that police chief Mats Löfving had been found dead in his home.
The tweet received S-top Annika Strandhäll to react strongly.
“Just put it down” Strandhäll wrote in a response to Kärrholm's post.
Fredrik Kärrholm replied that by “blue heart” he refers to the police color blue and not on any political color. Then Annika Strandhäll chose to delete her post.
“I feel completely destroyed by how a person doesn't know another way out and I'm thinking tonight where we went wrong and if I misunderstood Kärrholm's blue heart, turn it on if you feel better, I removed my comment. This question concerns me,” writes Strandhäll, whose partner took his own life in 2019, in a new post.
