Just a week ago, the Adrenalin 23.2.1 graphics card driver for Radeon graphics cards from AMD was released. Nevertheless, the adrenaline 23.2.2 is already following. The main reason for the update is the new blockbuster games Atomic Heart and Company of Heroes 3.
Drivers for two new blockbusters
< p class="p text-width">The first-person shooter Atomic Heart (test), which is reminiscent of the Bioshock series, and the real-time strategy game Company of Heroes 3 (test) are two top-class new releases of the last few days. It is therefore important for AMD that these popular titles run as well as possible on Radeon. Accordingly, with the update to the Adrenalin Edition 23.2.2, optimizations for Atomic Heart and Company of Heroes 3 will be added.
And those were the “highlights” that were included in AMD's official release notes.
Fixed and open bugs
However, some errors have also been ironed out. These include, for example, possible crashes when playing Hitman 3 with activated ray tracing, performance drops in DirectX 11 games on RX 6000 GPUs in connection with Ryzen CPUs or the display of a blank screen when using the VR headset Valve Index 144 Hz on a Radeon RX 7000.
List of fixed bugs
- Corruption may be briefly observed when moving Netflix video between displays or minimize-to-fullscreen on some AMD Products such as AMD Ryzen 7 6800U.
- Maximum encode bitrate is limited to 100Mbps for certain applications.
- AMD Bug Report Tool pop-up or system hang may be observed after driver upgrade on some hybrid graphics notebooks.
- Application crash may be observed while playing Hitman 3™ with ray tracing settings enabled.
< li>Valve Index VR headset may show a blank screen with 144Hz refresh rate setting on Radeon RX 7000 series GPUs.
- Certain videos played with Movies and TV may briefly show corruption when moving the window between displays on some AMD Graphics Products such as AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT.
- Situational performance drop may be observed in DirectX 11 based games on Radeon RX 6000 series GPUs using Ryzen processors.
AMD
The list of known errors that continue to exist is hardly shorter. For example, high idle power consumption has been observed when running the new Radeon RX 7000 with a high-resolution, high-refresh-rate monitor. Also, opening Premium Gold Packs in FIFA 23 may cause crashes and some VR games do not run well on Radeon RX 7000.

- High idle power has situationally been observed when using select high-resolution and high refresh rate displays on Radeon RX 7000 series GPUs.
- Video stuttering or performance drop may be observed during gameplay plus video playback with some extended display configurations on Radeon RX 7000 series GPUs.
- Application crash may be observed while opening Premium Gold Packs in EA SPORTS FIFA 23.

- Some virtual reality games or apps may experience lower-than-expected performance on Radeon RX 7000 series GPUs.
- Brief display corruption may occur when switching between video and game windows on some AMD Graphics Products such as the Radeon RX 6700 XT.
- Metrics overlay may intermittently re-size to 50% after gameplay.
- Corruption may be observed in Returnal in certain scenes with ray tracing enabled on Radeon RX 6000 series GPUs.
