Expressen's management announced the new the savings measures during a general meeting on Wednesday.
– We need to increase our profitability, said editor-in-chief Klas Granström according to Dagens Media.
As recently as last year, Expressen carried out a major reorganization at Göteborgs-Tidningen and Kvällsposten, which resulted in a reduction in the size of the editorial offices by 30 percent.
The profit for Expressen Lifestyle, which includes Expressen, GT, Kvällsposten and several magazines, decreased by 95 percent in 2022 compared to the previous year. Therefore, a new editorial plan will be launched that includes savings.
