Sonos price increase in 2023
In 2021, Sonos announced a significant price increase, due to higher component costs, more expensive supply chain costs and increasing customer demand. At the time, some products went up in price by €20 to €100. Now Sonos has (unannounced this time) implemented another price increase. When The Verge discovered that the Sonos Beam and Sonos Sub 3 have become $50 more expensive, we decided to also take a look at European prices. And there it goes much further than just the Beam and Sub. The Sonos Five and Move have also become more expensive.
Using the Wayback Machine, we retrieved the prices from the end of 2022, which shows the following price increase:
- Sonos Beam: increased from €499,- to €549,- (+ €50,-)
- Sonos Sub 3: increased from €849,- to €899,- (+ €50, -)
- Sonos Five: increased from €599,- to €649,- (+ €50,-)
- Sonos Move: increased from €399,- to €449 (+ €50)
Some accessories such as replacement cables and wall mounts have been increased in price by a few cents. Other products such as the Sonos One, Ray and Arc have remained unchanged. The price increase comes at an important time: just as there are rumors about two new smart speakers called Sonos Era that seem to replace the Sonos One and the former Play:3.

More information has been leaked about the future speakers Sonos Era 100 and Era 300. These would be two new models, respectively a middle class and a successor to the Play One. Both speakers could provide additional competition for the HomePod.
The Sonos Beam was once on the market for €449, according to our review from 2018. It is a great choice for people who have an average-sized living room and want to add their want to expand the system. The price has now increased by a hundred euros compared to the very first version. The line-up of TV speakers from Sonos now looks like this:
- Sonos Ray: €299,-
- Sonos Beam: €549,-
- Sonos Arc: €999,-
You can still find the old price at other stores. For example, you pay a hundred euros less for the Sonos Beam at the time of writing if you look for bargains:
