watchOS 9.3.1 released for Apple Watch: bug fixes and better security

In addition to iOS 16.3.1 and tvOS and HomePod 16.3.2, Apple has also released an update for the Apple Watch. As the version number suggests, you won't find any new features here, just improvements behind the scenes. It is the first time in months that an update with only bug fixes has been released for the Apple Watch.

Not much is known about the exact content of watchOS 9.3.1. In any case, it concerns bug fixes and improved security. In terms of security, Apple is expected to fix the same issues found in iOS 16.3.1, tvOS 16.3.2, and HomePod 16.3.2. Download watchOS 9.3.1

To update your Apple Watch Ultra, do the following on the paired iPhone:

  1. Go to My Watch > General.
  2. Tap Software Update and wait for the update to download.
  3. Put the Apple Watch on the charger and wait patiently for the update to install.

While the Apple Watch is updating, keep the paired iPhone nearby so as not to disturb the update process. Updating the Apple Watch can take hours, so please be patient. In any case, make sure that the connection to the charger is not broken. To complete the installation, it is required to connect the Apple Watch to the charger, so keep that in mind.

You can also update directly via the Apple Watch Ultra itself:

  1. Open the Settings app on the Apple Watch.
  2. Go to General &gt ; Software update.
  3. Wait until the Apple Watch starts searching for the update.
  4. Tap Download.
  5. After the download, place the Apple Watch on the Charger. The installation starts automatically.
